L\u2019acc\u00e8s au quai s\u2019effectuait par le passage \u00e0 niveau. Il n\u2019y avait pas de b\u00e2timent de gare. Un poste de signalisation (Block 13) commandait la desserte du raccordement (ouvert en 1877 et ferm\u00e9 en 1930) du charbonnage n\u00b0 8 de l\u2019Escouffiaux.<br>L\u2019arr\u00eat des trains \u00e0 Petit-Wasmes sera supprim\u00e9 pr\u00e9matur\u00e9ment malgr\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 d\u2019une importante cit\u00e9 d\u2019habitations sociales.<br>Apr\u00e8s la fin du service voyageur sur la ligne 98, un groupe de passionn\u00e9s du rail fera circuler occasionnellement des trains touristiques \u00e0 partir de 1988. Le point d\u2019arr\u00eat sera r\u00e9habilit\u00e9 pour desservir le Mus\u00e9e de la Mine des Vanneaux.
