Arr\u00eat en gare de Thulin! Comme c\u2019\u00e9tait fr\u00e9quent au d\u00e9but des chemins de fer, un premier b\u00e2timent provisoire en bois fut construit pour la mise en service de la ligne Saint-Ghislain \u2013 Qui\u00e9vrain, le 7 ao\u00fbt 1842. Il fera place en 1895 \u00e0 une construction d\u00e9finitive constitu\u00e9e d\u2019une partie centrale avec \u00e9tage, entour\u00e9e de deux ailes basses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La gare de Thulin disposait d\u2019une cour et d\u2019un hangar \u00e0 marchandises. Deux raccordements desservaient les \u00e9tablissements Chomez (n\u00e9gociant en bois) et Dupont (scierie et raboterie). Toutes les installations marchandises seront supprim\u00e9es au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ajout\u00e9 au b\u00e2timent d\u2019origine, un bow-window abritait le block 31 qui commandait la signalisation m\u00e9canique \u00e0 deux positions. Le passage \u00e0 niveau n\u00b0 126 \u00e9tait actionn\u00e9 manuellement par le signaleur \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un treuil situ\u00e9 \u00e0 proximit\u00e9. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 automatis\u00e9 et le block 31 supprim\u00e9 suite \u00e0 la mise en service de la signalisation command\u00e9e par le block 29 EBP de Saint-Ghislain le 24 avril 1995, entrainant la suppression du personnel \u00e0 Thulin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui la gare, restaur\u00e9e dans son esprit d&rsquo;origine, a \u00e9t\u00e9 transform\u00e9e en 9 appartements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>Une ligne industrielle, li\u00e9e aux compagnies de Mons \u00e0 Hautmont et de Saint-Ghislain et dont les traces apparaissent d\u00e9j\u00e0 en 1840, existait entre Dour, Elouges et Thulin. Les deux compagnies priv\u00e9es furent c\u00e9d\u00e9es \u00e0 bail \u00e0 la Compagnie fran\u00e7aise du Chemin de Fer du Nord le 1er juillet 1858. Ce r\u00e9seau priv\u00e9, comprenant donc la liaison Dour-Thulin, reliait une partie des houill\u00e8res du bassin du Couchant de Mons \u00e0 la Sambre et des rivages du canal Mons-Cond\u00e9. La Compagnie du Nord \u00e9tait g\u00e9r\u00e9e par la banque de James de Rothschild: le capitaine d\u2019industrie allemand avait donc acc\u00e8s au charbon du Borinage.
